I had to take an indirect flight back from Nice so I reached Frankfurt pretty late. I decided to get an Uber to minimize hassle. Once the Uber picked me up and drove about 1km from the airport (new terminal, by the way), two cops decided to stop the Uber. We stopped in the middle of the highway. I decided not to get out because it could have been a "random"(笑)check. But then a few minutes passed and I heard raised voices. I got out and the Uber driver was arguing with one cop, but I don't understand either of them. I asked the other cop what was going on. He said that the Uber driver drove wrong. What does that even mean? Also, I just want to go home. So I asked the cop how long will this take? Then he said he doesn't know, because it depends on whether the Uber driver can show appropriate documentation. The cop who interacted with me asked the Uber driver to produce a blue paper three times, but the Uber driver roduced a yellow paper. Without the blue paper, the ride can't continue. So I had to call another Uber which I obviously couldn't in the middle of the road. The cop who interacted with me said that I can report it to Uber and get my money back, which I knew anyway and won't do. That's not the point, the point is time. I have to walk my ass back to Terminal 3, which I am unfamiliar with, along parts of a highway, carrying my heavy ass bag. And call another Uber again. That's another hour. The cops should have just driven me home.
